The NJIT women's volleyball team, led by seventh-year head coach Pedro Trevino, has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The Highlanders will take part in 26 matches during the season, with nine taking place at home inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
NJIT will participate in three early-season non-conference tournaments, with the first being the Iona Invitational to open the season. The Highlanders open against Boston College on Friday, Aug 29 followed by matches against Iona and Stonehill on Saturday.
The following week, NJIT will host Saint Peter's for its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. That weekend, the Highlanders make the short trip to South Orange to take part in the Seton Hall Classic. NJIT will face Iona and Central Connecticut on Friday, Sept. 5 before facing the host Pirates on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Lehigh will play host for the final non-conference tournament on the Highlanders' schedule from Sept. 12-13. NJIT will square off with Valparaiso and Sacred Heart in addition to the Mountain Hawks during its weekend in Bethlehem, Pa.
Six more non-conference opponents will be featured on NJIT's slate, with three taking place in Newark and three away from home. The Highlanders will host Rhode Island (Sept. 19), FDU (Sept. 24) and New Haven (Oct. 14) while traveling to Penn (Sept. 17), LIU (Sept. 30), and Coppin State (Oct. 21).
NJIT opens its 10-game America East schedule at home on Friday, Sept. 26 with a match-up against UMBC. Next, the Highlanders will welcome in defending America East champion New Hampshire on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The home schedule concludes with Senior Day on Sunday, Nov. 9 as NJIT plays host to UAlbany. The following weekend, the regular season concludes with a trip to Rhode Island to face Bryant on Friday, Nov. 14.
The top four teams in the regular season standings will qualify for the 2025 America East Championships, which will take place Nov. 21-22 hosted by the top overall seed.
