Andreoli Breaks Division I Program Record for Goals in 3-1 Victory Over Seton Hall

Briana Andreoli broke the Division I program record with 16 career goals in NJIT's (4-2-1) 3-1 victory over Seton Hall (3-1-2) on Sunday afternoon at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.

In the 22nd minute, an NJIT player fouled a Seton Hall player in the box, resulting in a penalty kick. Enya Carthy made a diving save to keep the game scoreless.
Lily Maccausland opened the scoring in the 40th minute with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Andreoli, giving NJIT a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Andreoli sealed the victory in the 76th minute with her record-breaking goal, finishing off a corner kick from Maccausland.
Just one minute later, Seton Hall earned another penalty kick after an NJIT foul in the box. Mojisola Ayodele made the initial save, but Adria Kitzinger scored on the rebound for her first goal of the season, putting the Pirates on the board.
Andreoli and Maccausland each tallied three points (1 goal, 1 assist). Maccausland, Westbrook, Merle Hueser, Sofia Mignon, and Kennedy Yon played the full 90 minutes.
Seton Hall led in shots (9-7), corner kicks (6-5), and possession (54%-46%).
