NJIT Commencement 2021

Students, Faculty, and Staff of NJIT,
Yesterday we celebrated the final of our commencement ceremonies, and it truly has been uplifting to offer these opportunities for our graduates to come together in-person, as well as virtually, to mark such an important occasion. Seeing members of the Class of 2021, as well as our honorary degree recipients, on campus, in their regalia, taking photos with their classmates, family, and friends raised the spirits of all involved and gave us a real sense of progress toward a return to normalcy.
These have been very good days for our university community, and I would like to thank all those involved in bringing these ceremonies to fruition. The members of the Commencement Committee and all of the volunteers who supported their efforts have my gratitude for exhibiting the creativity and determination that made it possible for our graduates to have a special and memorable culmination to their NJIT experience.
Lastly, to the members of the NJIT Class of 2021, I congratulate you on your success as well as your resiliency, and I wish you the best of luck as you move on to the next set of challenges and opportunities you will encounter. As our commencement speaker, Kimberly Bryant, said, you were “built to solve problems, and now is the perfect time to put your creative skills for innovation and your leadership tools to use.” Congratulations to all.
NJIT President Joel S. Bloom
