NJIT Facilities Update: The Wellness and Events Center

NJIT's newest facility, the Wellness and Events Center, already nicknamed WEC, is a $102 million building being constructed on the site of the Highlander athletic field, is expected to open in the Fall 2017. The new facility will extend across the length of the field, which will later be rebuilt on the north side of the building. The field is expected to be completed in Fall 2018.

Online dating has become a way of life for folks looking for love in the freewheeling, tap-and-swipe culture that dominates the 21st century. According to the Pew Research Center, online dating sites or mobile dating app usage by 18-to 24-year-olds has increased nearly threefold since 2013, while usage by 55-to 64-year-olds has doubled.
Accelerating Life Sciences, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in New Jersey

Tangert Appointed Director and Associate Head of Defense and Homeland Security Innovation Laboratory

The New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), an NJIT corporation that applies the intellectual and technological resources of the state’s science and technology university to challenges identified by industry partners, has announced the appointment of Todd Tangert as director and associate head of NJII’s Defense and Homeland Security Innovation Laboratory (iLab). In this role, Tangert will serve to enhance and expand the role of the iLab by working with companies and government agencies to develop, design and deploy vetted solutions for field applications.
