Facebook, Merck, Brown University, the University of Minnesota, Venture for America and the U.S. Air Force are among the destinations of standouts from the Class of 2021 at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Here’s a closer look at seven graduates.
Roberto Adamson: Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule
The electrical engineering major from Costa Rica will pursue a master’s in the same discipline at ETH – a STEM powerhouse in Zurich, Switzerland – after studying abroad in France.
Parth Agrawal: Venture For America
The biomedical engineering major from Montvale, N.J. earned a fellowship with Venture For America, a nonprofit that trains college graduates to work in startups across the U.S.

The computer science major from Chatham, N.J. will join Facebook after interning there during the summers of 2019 and 2020.
Jaime Felice: U.S. Air Force
The mechanical engineering major from Oakland, N.J. is poised to become a pilot in the U.S. Air Force after four years in NJIT’s Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Detachment 490.
Logan Heft: Brown University
The business major from Whitehouse Station, N.J. will pursue a master’s in data science at Brown after concentrating on financial technology at NJIT.
Nitya Shah: University of Minnesota
The dual biology and mathematical sciences major from Avenel, N.J. will pursue a Ph.D. in biostatistics at the University of Minnesota after studying social parasitism in ants at NJIT.
Samantha Swider: Merck
The chemical engineering major from Brick, N.J. will join Merck as an operations specialist in a new vaccine manufacturing facility after three cooperative educational experiences at NJIT.
