NJIT's George Svensson and Pablo Arrutia captured the C doubles consolation flight as the Highlanders registered eight wins on the final day at the Farnsworth Invitational hosted by Princeton.

Head coach Ira Miller was proud of his team’s play on day two: "Team finished strong today. Outstanding efforts by Zac (Castagna) and Tomi (Antoljak) making it to the semifinals in C flight and by Pablo (Arrutia)  and George (Svensson) for winning the C flight consolation doubles."

Svensson and Arrutia earned three wins on the day, including the C Doubles Consolation flight defeating St. John's Alex Roszkowski and Federico Ruiz Acevedo 8-7.

In C singles, Castagna defeated Nate Eazor 7-5, 2-6, 10-6 and then fell in the semi-finals to Columbia's Rian Pandole 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

NJIT picked up three more wins in doubles competition.

In A doubles, Tomi Antoljak and Aleksa Petrovic defeated Marist 8-7, Castagna and teammate Jan Cimrman beat Monmouth 8-5 in B doubles and Richard Rangga and Lukas Zvikas notched a win over Temple in B doubles.

Next up for the Highlanders is the ITA Northeast Regional Championships hosted by Yale October 18-23.
