NJIT sophomore Michael Anastasia and freshman Matthew Cocciadiferro both received conference honors as the ASUN announced its 2017 Baseball Postseason Awards on the eve of the 2017 ASUN Baseball Tournament. Anastasia, an ASUN second-team honoree, suffered a broken arm on May 7, missing the last six games of the season. He led the ASUN with a .373 batting average and .463 on-base percentage. Matthew Cocciadiferro, named to the ASUN All-Freshmen team, was the top freshman for the Highlanders this season.

Senior Cody Kramer headed the 2017 ASUN Conference All-Academic team, earning ASUN Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year while teammates Anastasia and Jesse Uttendorfer were named to the 13-person ASUN Academic team.

Thirteen athletes appear on the 2017 ASUN Baseball All-Academic squad with the highest vote-getters receiving Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honors. All nominees should be in their second year of school attendance or later and hold a minimum of a 3.30 GPA.
