The New Jersey Innovation Institute and Columbia University’s Data Science Institute, Center for Health Analytics will be conducting a Biopharmaceutical Product Development & Data Science Symposium Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the NJIT Campus Center Atrium, 150 Bleeker Street, Newark, New Jersey.

The symposium will present a vision of the promising future in the application of big data and analytics in the development and manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products and precision medicine. Keynote speakers will include Dr. Jacqueline Law, global head and vice president, real world data science, Roche/Genentech, and Dr. Shahram Ebadollahi, chief technology officer, IBM Watson Health.

The symposium will highlight two areas. Morning sessions will address the application of data analytics and big data in drug discovery, preclinical and clinical development. The afternoon sessions will examine how data analytics and big data can impact process development and manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products.
